Some promises are made in the heat of a trade rumor. Others get made in a pitch meeting. Today’s batch from Indie Agency News members has a lot of both coming due at once: a seven-year-old free-food pledge to an NBA star, a year-round gaming program that started as a test, and a whole lot of talk about what AI is (and isn’t) supposed to fix. Fried chicken shows up twice. Football shows up three times. And a surprising number of agencies are spending their energy not on reach, but on giving people a reason to stick around. Let’s get into it.
