IAN chats with Bennett D. Bennett about the state of the industry for Black and diverse workforce
In a recent Ad Age article by Kai D. Wright, he cited new data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics indicating that the Black workforce in the advertising industry reached a 20-year high of 11.2%. The report also stated that other ethnic groups improved as well since tracking started in 2002.
For 600 & Rising co-counder and Executive Director, Bennett D. Bennett, who co-wrote an open letter with over 600 Black voices in advertising and media that served as a catalyst to these new data findings, it was welcome good news and a sign of what more is possible.
So where do we go from here?
