Lafayette American Feeds the Butterflies

The latest step in Lafayette American’s efforts to create a Butterfly Superhighway has arrived. As we’ve reported before, the agency has been working to stamp out the stigma around milkweed—which isn’t a weed at all and is a staple for monarch butterflies—and help it spread across the nation. Three finalists remain for the plant’s new name: Butterfly Landing, Monarch Milk, and Milky Way. Lafayette dropped packets of seeds sporting each new name with designs inspired by the illustrations of architect Alexander Girard.

Beyond the greenery:

Öpinionated for Panda Express

Love this work: A group of karaoke-singing aunties belt out an original power ballad in this playful, heartwarming nod to the ways food expresses love across generations and cultures (even when it’s hard to say out loud), complete with surreal visuals from Everything Everywhere All At Once cinematographer Larkin Seiple. Watch the video and check out the story by Terry Stanley over at Adweek.

David&Goliath for Courageous Conversations

David&Goliath and Courageous Conversation Global Foundation unveiled a wearable civilian camera they hope never has to exist. HndsUp, a wrist-worn device that activates with the phrase “hands up,” recording police encounters in real time is a visceral call for racial equity, launched during International Black Women’s History Month to spotlight the urgency of protecting Black lives and the deeper work of dismantling systemic injustice.

Check out the boss chopping it up with Glenn E. Singleton and Ben Purcell on the work.

Serviceplan Cologne for Dalli Curd Soap

A degree of German fluency is recommended to get the joke. Still, das ist sehr schön!

It’s so wee! And the work about this palm-sized electric razor featuring actor/producer Jesse Metcalfe is both handy (pun intended) and informative.
