We’ve got another double-header for ya in this episode of #IndieWork as we discuss two campaigns that knocked it out of the park!
First at bat are Baton Rouge Area Chamber’s Senior Vice President of Marketing, Morgan Almeida, and ThreeSixtyEight’s Chief Growth Officer, Adrian Owen Jones, to talk about the campaign, the city that inspired it and the audience they targeted.
With New Orleans getting the lion’s share of love as far as cities in Louisiana go, BRAC decided it needed to send a message to give the vibrant city a reputational boost. To attract young talent and remind travelers that it has so much more to offer than its famed LSU athletics program (which, thanks to players like WNBA rookie sensation Angel Reese and its baseball and gymnastics team, has given the school a major jolt of notoriety in the last two years), they enlisted the agency for a campaign that – quite literally – hits home.
Next up, IAN spoke with Gus Co-founder and Creative Director Graham Douglas about the agency’s fantastical campaign for Comic Relief’s Red Nose Day, which, if you’ve ever dreamed of having a castle made out of cotton candy or an itch to crush a car with a monster truck…might give you a little FOMO.
Get the skinny on the campaign’s origin and strategy, find out what ideas didn’t make the cut and discover the magic that awaits when you recruit a toddler as a consultant.
Go on…press play, watch some cool work and book your trip to Baton Rouge after you’ve watched Grave Digger smash up some cars like a soda can!
