Truly Lost Is Merch for Fans Who Don’t Watch.

Every football season, brands line up to court the same person: the fan who knows the stats, the rules and the backup long snapper’s college. Truly Hard Seltzer looked past that crowd to the one standing next to it.

With Party Land from Los Angeles, Truly has launched Truly Lost, a line of sportswear and accessories for the people who always show up to the game and don’t care about sports. The game is a formality. The drinks, the friends and the outfits are the point.

Assorted Truly Lost Sport Club merch for fans is displayed on a chair and court, featuring a tennis ball, can, basketball, football, and tote bag.

Merch that admits it

The collection runs across sweatshirts, t-shirts, baby tees, hats and tote bags, each carrying a small confession. One reads “No idea what’s going on here but liking the vibes.” Another: “Someone tell me when I’m supposed to cheer I want to feel included.”

It’s team gear with no team. The only allegiance is to honesty.

That’s a Party Land move. The agency calls itself comedy’s greatest advertising agency, and it has built a reputation on finding the truth inside a brand and letting the joke carry it. Here, the truth is that a lot of people in the stands are there for everything except the scoreboard.

Two fans sit in stadium seats. The woman in front wears sunglasses and a shirt from the Truly Lost merch line that says, Someone Tell Me When To Cheer I Want To Feel Included. The man behind her looks to the side.

Country club, by way of the thrift store

The design borrows from vintage athletic clubs, collegiate sportswear and the ’80s and ’90s country club look that has worked its way back into fashion. As Vogue observed, “retro athletic attire is trending, and you don’t even need to play sports.”

That last part is the whole brief.

Because the collection doesn’t pledge loyalty to any sport, it slots in anywhere — a tailgate, a sports bar, a stadium, a watch party where half the room is facing the kitchen.

Bigger than it sounds

Truly Lost may read like a niche joke, but the numbers say otherwise. According to Truly, about a third of tailgaters never make it into the game.

Among people watching sports at bars and restaurants, 73% are there to socialize, 72% are there for food and drinks and 57% show up for the camaraderie. The casual fan isn’t a fringe audience. It might be the majority.

A seltzer for the sidelines

For Truly, the logic lines up neatly. A hard seltzer brand has less to gain from arguing about a quarterback rating and more to gain from the friends passing a cooler in the parking lot.

Party Land, a 2026 Ad Age Small Agency of the Year, added Truly to its roster during its strongest new business year yet. Truly Lost shows why the fit works: a brand willing to laugh at the room and an agency that knows how to make the room laugh with it.

The fans who know every rule have plenty of gear.

Now everyone else does too.
