Liar, Liar?: Philly Meets the OC

A video call with three men: Doug Zanger speaking into a microphone, Sam Kimelman standing by a green wall in Philly, and Marc Moran seated in a room with sports decor. INDIE Agency News logo in the top right.
Yo! Brah.

For the second episode in our second season of Liar, Liar?, Portland State University’s Advertising Program Area Director, Marc Moran, traded his guest judge hat from our last episode in to give his storytelling chops some practice as a contestant. Judging him this time around is 8AM Creative’s Founder and Creative Director, Sam Kimelman, who channeled his content strategy skills to “cut to the truth.”

As always, contestants get three chances–one per round–to tell a story that is either completely true or completely false with the aim of fooling our judge. If the judge guesses incorrectly, the contestant wins the allotted points. If the judge guesses correctly, the contestant is denied points for the story but has an opportunity to win points based on their delivery style.

Did Sam’s “inner Philly” see through Marc’s impressive flair for detail? Should Marc be entering ThinkNW’s Cascadia Creative Awards instead of shamelessly plugging them?

Tune in and find out if Marc has what it takes to make it to the winning round, or if Sam blocks his shot like the 76ers’ Joel Embiid.

In this episode:

  • Meet our guests
  • Round 1: Blind in one eye?
  • Round 2: The Anti-Globetrotter
  • Round 3: A “Famous” Dad
