Meet An Indie Agency: FerebeeLane

Downtown cityscape at sunset with buildings along a river, a green pedestrian bridge, and text: Meet FerebeeLane, an Indie Agency, plus the latest indie agency news.
Bringing Southern Hospitality to Luxury and Hospitality

After a peach of an episode where we discussed their #IndieWork for client Pearson Farm, FerebeeLane’s co-founder and Chief Creative Officer, Matt Ferebee, returns to IAN with his fellow co-founder and Chief Operating Officer, Josh Lane, to tell us more about what makes the Greenville, South Caroline-based agency tick.

Tune in as Matt and Josh give us a glimpse into the strategy of southern storytelling, take us through some of their work with clients TUMI and Le Creuset (selling $400 pots to “Potterheads” is a literal chef’s kiss), and break down the distinction between having a luxury perspective vs an appreciation for craft and quality.

Warning: This episode is filled with (affably manipulative) southern charm, and may cause high-end purchases for your home and/or an urge to plan a luxury vacation STAT!

Best-known for

FerebeeLane is best known for their work with brands that operate in the luxury space of their respective categories. From luggage, to spirits, cookware, hospitality properties in picturesque destinations and even peaches – the team has expertly honed its craft of connecting premium brands to a discerning clientele.

What are the agency’s core strengths

The agency’s core strengths are brand strategy and positioning, consistently strong comprehension of a brand’s unique value with regard to its target consumer, killer copywriting, and an ability to build long-lasting relationships with clients based in trust and accountability..

Why the agency loves being indie

FerebeeLane’s indie status allows them to have a certain degree of control over “how great they can be as an agency,” with regard to how they serve their team and their clients. This includes their ability to effectively problem solve, procure top talent and be selective about the clients they work with–something they value as highly as good craftsmanship.

Why brands should work with this agency

In addition to the aforementioned core strengths, the agency cares deeply about the people and brands they work with, and are dedicated to solving problems in ways that are effective and relevant for everyone involved. An added bonus: They love the work and it shows.

Why talent should put this agency on their list

Aside from the quality of life that comes with living in the idyllic city of Greenville, talent with ambition and a desire to work directly with blue-chip brands will quickly find opportunities to learn and grow–as the agency’s intimate size allows for an all-hands approach to client work.
