Meet An Indie Agency: Ready Set Rocket

New York is and always has been a city filled with amazing stories…which is why it’s been the go-to place for aspiring creatives and creative-adjacent folks in entertainment, fashion and advertising for as long as those industries have existed.

So, it’s only fitting that while IAN was chopping it up with Ready Set Rocket Partner and Chief Executive Officer, Lauren Nutt Bello, and Partner and Chief Strategy Officer, Kitty Tsang, a couple of those stories would come out (although one of them involves Atlantic City and a scrappy, albeit ill-advised way to stay within budget).

With a diverse client roster including such brands as Sweetgreen, the NBA, Univision, PUMA, Carnegie Hall and Michael Kors, we’re certain they have plenty more they could’ve shared, but we only had so much time.

Press play and meet this indie agency!

What the agency is best-known for

While the agency was born in the fairly nascent days of social media and was early to the conversation of getting brands to understand the importance of data and tracking engagement, they’re best known for their creative work.

What the agency’s core strengths are

Content creation and storytelling remain at the top of Ready Set Rocket’s capabilities list, but their fluency in data and media drive home the remainder of their core strengths, with a strong focus on being a “full funnel, marketing data driven, lead generation, customer acquisition driven, media partner.”

Why the agency loves being indie

As a small indie agency, the bureaucracy and red tape typically associated with large holding companies are nonexistent, and leadership is easily accessible.

Why brands should work with this agency

Fittingly, the reasons they love being indie also happen to be great reasons for brands to work with them: The lack of red tape allows a more streamlined and less costly experience, and its small-but-mighty team fiercely value their clients and their respective businesses. Brands seeking an attentive partner capable of creating bespoke work will find their fit here.

Why talent should put this agency on their list

Like their clients, talent is also highly valued by the team, especially given its size. That said, because the agency is small, talent must be a “rockstar,” ready to contribute ideas and “control their own destiny.”

Marketer shout out

  • Vicky Land, Senior Vice President of Brand and Communications, Barry’s Bootcamp

“I feel like they’ve kept me a sane person over the last years of my career…and I also just love what they’ve done with the expansion of their brand. ”
