PrizePicks Puts AI on Your Team. Literally

Two men sit in a car—one sporting a purple jacket, the other wearing a white headband. The PrizePicks logo appears in the corner, hinting at their excitement for AI-powered fantasy sports picks.
Preacher paired Allen Iverson and Candace Parker with comedy for the perfect group chat dynamic

PrizePicks just figured out how to turn FOMO into a feature. The sports entertainment operator is launching a campaign that pairs basketball legends Allen Iverson and Candace Parker with comedic actors Sam Richardson and Drew “Druski” Desbordes to showcase The PrizePicks Feed—a new social feature that lets you copy your friends’ lineups with one click.

Agency Preacher developed the “It’s Good to Be Right” campaign, which perfectly captures that when you realize your basketball-obsessed friend probably knows more than you do. The work debuts ahead of the NBA season tipoff and continues the campaign platform Preacher launched for PrizePicks during football season.

The Legends and the Comedians

Here’s the thing about AI—Iverson—he’s naturally funny (practice?). The feature spot pairs him with Richardson in a scenario anyone with a know-it-all friend will recognize. Richardson admits upfront he doesn’t know ball like Iverson does, but now he doesn’t need to. Just follow AI on the Feed and copy the lineup. What makes it work is Iverson’s dry delivery and Richardson’s escalating boundary violations. The toothbrush line alone is worth the watch.

Parker and Druski find the perfect tension on the other end. Parker makes everything look effortless (have you seen the highlights?)—including showing Druski how to copy her picks before tipoff. He locks it in, then immediately defends his originality: “That’s the only thing I’m gonna copy. You know, I’m too original.” Right on cue, someone walks by wearing his exact outfit.

She’s the friend who always knows what to do. He’s the friend who insists he has it figured out, while everyone watches him struggle to figure it out. It’s the kind of natural comedic timing that only happens when both people are genuinely funny.

It’s great casting for both because, sometimes, athletes don’t necessarily nail the assignment, if you know what we mean.

What The Feed Does

The new social features combine player profiles with a real-time feed showing what picks friends and the broader PrizePicks community are making. It moves the debate out of the group chat and into the app itself.

“By pairing basketball legends with cultural heavyweights, we’re continuing to show that PrizePicks lives at the intersection of the game and culture,” says Ignasi Tudela, Creative Director at Preacher. “It’s not just a platform for diehards—it’s for everyone who wants to be part of the conversation.”
