Back in April, IAN had an excellent chat with SpecialGuestX’s Miguel Espada about the ways AI can help with human creativity. (In case you missed it, you can catch that episode here.)
Fast forward nearly two months later, and SpecialGuestX and 1stAveMachine would wow Cannes Lions attendees by showing them one of the ways, when they introduced the CMR-M1 (or Camera Model 1), a camera that transforms real images into generative AI. Making its debut on the Croisette and during the Ad Age lawn party, the camera captured spectacular images and the attention of the sometimes jaded industry.
For this episode of #IndieThinking, IAN spoke with Andrew Geller, Executive Producer at 1stAveMachine, to learn more about how the technology works and why it could be a useful tool that may soften the sentiment towards AI and inspire the embrace of a future where it’s an additive benefit for future work and creative possibilities.
Tune in to see and find out about this awesome camera, and be sure to check out Tim Nudd’s story about it in Ad Age!
For this episode of #IndieThinking, we discuss:
- Walking through the technology of the CMR-M1 camera, enabled with AI
- Observations about AI during Cannes Lions
- Where AI will shake out in the near/mid-term
- What indie agencies should ignore/embrace with AI
