IndieWork Weekly: Hold Me Closer, Tiny Rancher

A man in a green jacket and hat, embodying the spirit of a Tiny Rancher, sits next to a large bottle of olive oil on a wooden surface, surrounded by cheese, garlic, and vibrant greenery.
Plus, Sasquatch has been spotted

Lots to love this week from our members, who are serving up some education, fab work and and some genuinely (beautifully) bizarre stuff. Excuse the pun (Never apologize, Jess.—Ed.), as we kick it off with a teeny, tiny rancher from ARGONAUT.

ARGONAUT for California Olive Ranch

ARGONAUT’s first work for California Olive Ranch has gifted us a short king for the ages—a nine-inch-tall rancher with big opinions on olive oil. Tiny Rancher Cal is here to make sure your salad isn’t dry and your pesto sings, proving that good things really do come in small packages, especially when they’re made from California-grown olives.

Quality Meats and German Doner Kebab

10/10, no notes.

OK, one note: Collab with Quizno’s Spongmonkeys?

Klick Health for Endo

Ever heard of Peyronie’s disease (PD)? Neither had I, but I also don’t have the equipment for it. Most men do, though, and 1 in 10 of them may experience painful bending of said appendage due to PD. Klick and Endo are out to help folks with penises realize when such a quirk is something to see a doctor about.

ThreeSixtyEight for Builders

Liz McCulla, the design mind for Builders’ Power Ranking site that ThreeSixtyEight created ahead of the 2024 election season, talks about her process and logic in this behind-the-scenes lookback video. The project aimed to develop a system that illustrates the difference between constructive action and divisive rhetoric by comparing the way members of Congress speak and address issues.

SUPERHEROES and “The Janklet”

Stressed out about the preponderance of rats in your vicinity in NYC? If you can’t beat ‘em, send ‘em, wear bells. These (apparently) anti-rat anklets are yet another one of SUPERHEROES’ non-solutions to poke fun at systemic problems in the Big Apple—like their tubes-o-scent formulated to distract your nostrils from that godawful stink emanating from every corner.

Terri & Sandy for Freshpet

Judgy Aunt Mae can take her opinions about Peter’s nutritious food log and shove them—wait, is that an intentional Spider-Man reference?

Left Hand Agency for Hello Panda

Our pun-tastic hearts are enamored with Panda-Monium campaign for the sweet treats from snack brand Hello Panda. (Pro tip: They also carry them—and offer free samples—at Costco.) Left Hand Agency handled the media very nicely.

Barrett Hofherr for Penny Golf

Gorgeous product and brand design work for a chill golf brand—a real hole-in-one!

Blurr Bureau for Society De La Rassi

Society de La Rassi, a dealcoholized sparkling wine, offers a bold challenge to the champagne market, wrapped in Mediterranean heritage and a striking red portal. Blurr built a brand that’s equal parts luxury and rebellion, proving that sophistication and sobriety aren’t mutually exclusive (and that the best nights don’t always need next-day regrets).

Agency Noir for Seattle Public Library

Seattle Public Library is writing a new future for book lovers—and lovers of the many other resources, education and services libraries provide—with the help of Agency Noir, which developed this lovely watercolor aesthetic to express creative expression and the spread of ideas.

Drake Cooper for Spokane Colleges

No blur effects on these Sasquatch pics: Drake Cooper developed a new, crystal-clear look for these OOH ads sporting the community colleges’ bigfooted mascot.

Pereira O’Dell and Silverside AI for Pierce’s Pledge

This collection has been pretty lighthearted so far, but there’s nothing funny about this all-too-important and visually striking campaign documenting the harrowing truth that many children are killed in gun-owning households, whether during periods of marital strife. Terrifying and critical work for an org that removes firearms from households going through family law battles to prevent the worst from happening.
