A 180-Metre Moustache, the Un-Holding Company and the Happiest Fans in Baseball
Indie Spin: The one with T-Mobile, a mo visible from (almost) space, and a sentiment ranking that's rough news for Astros fans.
The one with T-Mobile, a mo visible from (almost) space, and a sentiment ranking that’s rough news for Astros fans.
The calendar flipped to November, and Indie Agency News members flipped right along with it. Halloween costumes are back in storage, Movember is officially underway, and the news cycle got serious in a hurry: a major wireless account landed at an independent shop, a New Zealand-born creative company took on outside capital to go global faster, and the LIA results turned into an indie victory lap.
Underneath the headlines, a quieter pattern runs through the feed. More members are putting real numbers on the table, sentiment scores, adoption rates, trust gaps, percentage-of-nights math, instead of asking you to take their word for it. Turns out the receipts are often the most interesting part.

A conversation with Hostfully’s Frank Bosi has a stat built for the hospitality crowd: midterm stays are just 1.72% of reservations but 20% of booked nights. Bonus anecdote: an AI tool flagged the word “fire” in a guest message and alerted authorities, saving an estimated $30,000 in damage.
A busy week in the press. The firm turned up in The Economist’s piece on Google’s $500bn bloodbath and the danger it faces from AI, and a Brian Wieser note cited by Adweek found pass-through costs accounted for almost all of Omnicom’s Q3 headline gain, with net organic growth likely flat.
